How did it get so late so soon?

I stopped by the school yesterday and heard the band rehearsing "Pomp and Circumstance."   For years, my daughter has practiced that tune and played at the graduation ceremony, but this year she won't be playing.   It is her turn to wear the cap and gown.  Like most other parents of high school seniors, I sit here in disbelief, wondering where the time has gone.

A friend of LBAC posted a photo of his graduating daughter on facebook, along with the following quote from Dr. Seuss:
How did it get so late so soon?
It's night before it's afternoon.
December is here before it's June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?

Whether it is a first birthday, first day of kindergarten, or last day of high school, our children's lives are measured by chapters. With all the pride and joy we feel as they move onto the next phase, each step is bittersweet as the window on one chapter closes for good.

As we try and hold onto each phase before it is gone, we look to create lasting memories with our children.
A family vacation gives us a chance to disconnect from our everyday obligations and focus on each other.     These opportunities seem all the more important when we are going through a major family transition, such as a high school graduation.

When trying to make the most of these last steps of childhood, maybe a tropical vacation is the answer.   Put yourselves on island time with toes in the sand, not a care in the world, and enjoy your child as the adult they are becoming.   Not the do-nothing types?   Maybe something more adventurous would fit. Zip-lining through Costa Rica, snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, surfing in Hawaii are all great choices to enjoy with your new adult.   Would you like to share the celebration with other families and friends? Maybe
a group cruise is the answer.

For the Peter Pan in all of us, a Disney vacation gives us a chance to enjoy our children as children again - a vacation where they can transform back to that wide-eyed stage, totally drawn into the magic!
However you decide to celebrate the milestones in your life, our Dream Vacation Makers are always here to help you every step of the way.

Congratulations to the Class of 2012!
